Every six years, the Tax Commissioner for the State of Ohio requires the Cuyahoga County Fiscal Officer to reappraise all real property in Cuyahoga County.
Your 2024 Proposed Value Notice states the Proposed Reappraised Value for your property for tax year 2024, payable in 2025.

If you wish to dispute the proposed value for your property, you may begin the Informal Review process.

To file an Informal Review Complaint:
1. Fill out the Property Owner Response Form online by entering the Permanent Parcel Number and Pin # provided in the 2024 Proposed Value Notice. You may also choose to drop off OR mail in the Property Owner Response Form along with the supporting documentation to:
2. Gather your supporting documentation. ALL documents MUST be labeled with the Permanent Parcel Number and must include AT LEAST ONE of the following:
- An appraisal report completed within the last 36 months (photocopy)
- A purchase agreement and closing statement (photocopy)
- Construction costs of a new dwelling, certified by the builder
- Certified estimates from a contractor for repairs cited as a reason for the change in value
- Photographs of property showing structural damage and estimates for repair
3. Submit your Property Owner Response Form and supporting documentation BEFORE August 30, 2024.
