e-File simplifies the process by allowing 2 options for completing a DTE Form 1, Complaint Against the Valuation of Real Property
1. You may submit a complaint electronically. This option bypasses the notary requirement and eliminates the legwork involved in printing, signing and mailing a hard copy form. Also, it is completely free!
2. You can pre-fill your form to print, notarize and mail in the complaint. This will require the cost of notarization and postage, or parking if you choose to hand deliver the complaint to our office.

The following information is required to e-File:
1.The parcel number for the property in question.
If you are filing on multiple parcels
that you own
, you may include up to 3 parcels that are
the same taxing district

2. The contact information for the owner/complainant including a valid phone number and e-mail address.
3.Your opinion of market value for each parcel listed on the complaint.
The Opinion of Value is just what it sounds like; it is your opinion of the value of the parcel(s) in question. You are filing a complaint because you think the County incorrectly valued your property. You must enter an “opinion of value” stating what you think your property is worth.
You must enter an exact number with NO COMMAS. Count your zeros!
It is not necessary to submit evidence at the time of filing the complaint, but any supporting documentation must be submitted at least 7 business days before the scheduled hearing.
You cannot upload evidence through the e-file portal. You can submit evidence by one of the following methods:

After you click submit, you will immediately receive a confirmation email with an attached copy of your complaint.
If you did not receive an email with an attachment, the Board of Revision did not receive the email and attachment either. In this instance, a complaint has not been filed *see disclaimer below*.

Once your complaint has been submitted, you may view your complaint on our website within 5 business days. .
The Complainant assumes all risks associated with the use of the electronic filing system, including the risk that the system may become unavailable at any time without prior notice, or that confirmations or notifications sent by the system may be blocked or delayed by causes beyond the control of the Board of Revision.
